UV DMCP TRIFECTA
Ultimate Ventures is delighted to announce that we have three new Destination Management Certified Professionals (DMCP) on our team—congratulations to Dylan, Laura, and Key! With a total of six DMCPs, UV has more certified professionals than any other DMC in Texas.
The DMCP certification, awarded by the Association of Destination Management Professionals International (ADMEI), recognizes individuals with expert knowledge and best practices in the destination management industry.

Texas proudly welcomed the Michelin Guide in 2024, celebrating its debut in the Lone Star State with prestigious honors for exceptional restaurants and hotels that showcase the region’s vibrant culinary and hospitality scenes. We’re especially proud of our North Texas winners!
Spotlighting Dallas as a Top Global Dining Destination
Dallas’ vibrant culinary scene took center stage earning MICHELIN Stars and Bib Gourmand honors that draw global attention to the city’s creativity, quality, and dedication to exceptional dining. With more than two dozen Dallas-Fort Worth restaurants featured on this prestigious list, North Texas solidified itself as a premier destination for food enthusiasts.
Michelin-Worthy Stays in North Texas
North Texas shined in the 2024 MICHELIN Hotel Guide with the following standout properties earning special recognition.- Two-Key winner included the Bowie House in Fort Worth’s Cultural District, a chic retreat envisioned by equestrian Jo Ellard, and adorned with her personal art collection.
- One-Key honorees feature the Hôtel Swexan in Dallas’ Harwood District, blending Swiss and Texan influences with museum-quality art; the luxurious Hotel Drover located in the heart of Fort Worth’s Stockyards; Hotel Zaza, a luxury property in Uptown Dallas with show-stopping themed suites; the timeless Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, which remains a beacon of Dallas elegance; and Casa Duro offering a boutique escape above its Italian café on Lower Greenville.

More exciting news to share! Ultimate Ventures has been named a finalist in the Best Destination Marketing category for a whirlwind familiarization trip showcasing Dallas as a top meetings and events destination. On top of that, our co-founder and president, Laurie Sprouse, CITE, CMP, DMCP, is a finalist for the Hall of Fame / Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing her incredible impact on the destination management industry.
The ADMEI Awards celebrate innovation, leadership, and excellence within the destination management industry. Winners will be announced during the annual awards gala, scheduled for February 25, 2025, in Arlington, Texas.
Best Destination Marketing: Elevating Dallas to New Heights
In collaboration with Visit Dallas, UV designed and executed a one-day familiarization trip that redefined perceptions of Dallas for a third-party client’s leadership team. The experience was meticulously crafted to position Dallas as a vibrant, versatile destination ideal for high-profile meetings and events. The overwhelmingly positive feedback—both immediately and nearly a year later—cemented this program as one of the most impactful FAM trips ever experienced by the client’s team.
Laurie Sprouse: A Legacy of Leadership
Laurie Sprouse, CITE, CMP, DMCP, co-founded Ultimate Ventures in 1993 and has been a trailblazer in the destination management industry for over three decades. Her recognition as an ADMEI Hall of Fame finalist celebrates a lifetime of achievements that have left an indelible mark on the DMC industry. Our team is so incredibly proud and grateful for her leadership! Go Laurie!!!
