Gilley’s Oktoberfest Y’all!

Nominated as a part of Best Overall Program: As part of a multi-faceted three-day program for 900 guests (in June of 2021 after a long year of quarantine), this Oktoberfest theme served as the backdrop for this interactive welcome event. From blue and white pennant flags and string lights hanging from the ceiling to a custom German-themed menu, every aspect of the event highlighted this whimsical theme. Guests were greeted by a strolling accordionist in traditional lederhosen and custom arrow signage pointed them in the direction of all the possible activities. We used a combination of rounds and communal tables to replicate a traditional German beer hall. Each table had either beer growler or beer bottle centerpieces that contained Blue Cornflower, the national flower of Germany.
