General ManagerGet to Know Beverly
Let’s just say our General Manager, Beverly Brin, DMCP, knows a thing or two about creating exceptional group experiences, as she’s been doing exactly that for over 30 years. Beverly has been involved in the meetings industry in a wide variety of capacities including incentive planner, association planner, and for the last 15 years, as a destination management professional. She has seen more than most when it comes to creating, planning, and executing successful group activities.
Beverly and the UV team are always on the lookout for authentic experiences and ideas in Dallas that provide the best of local color and flavor. Out of the ordinary or tried and true, the UV team carefully customizes group activities based on the group’s demographics, purpose, preferences, location, and time available.
Dallas Group Activities that Set the Bar with Beverly
We are fortunate to live in a destination that has so many amazing possibilities when it comes to group activities and tours for corporate teams and associations! Whether your group wants to sample some of the best food and drinks across Dallas or take a joy ride on a bicycle around one of Dallas’ most beloved lakes, here are just a few of our team’s favorite local options for groups:
Foodie Tour – Did you know that Dallas was recently named Bon Appetit magazine’s 2019 Best Restaurant City of the Year? And with good reason! Dallas boasts not only some of the best restaurants in the country, but also the best variety of cuisines. Ultimate Ventures creates tours that focus on that “delishness” – from Tacos & Margaritas to Beer & BBQ, these mouthwatering tours take the cake (Delectable dessert tours? You bet!) when it comes to showcasing our destination in a tasteful way.
Take a Ride! – A bike ride, that is! Start by getting outfitted for your adventure in the funky Dallas neighborhood of Deep Ellum and then wind your way down the Santa Fe Trail to loop White Rock Lake, one of Dallas’ most picturesque lakes. Either on a mountain or cruiser electric bike, guests can exercise (or not!) while experiencing Dallas the way locals do.
Axe Throwing Adventure – Discover why axe throwing is all the rage! Learn the secrets of the axe and how to hit the target like a pro! Guests compete individually and as a team to accumulate points. This is the ideal activity for a competitive group that literally wants to throw themselves into something completely out of the ordinary!
Zip-lining through the Treetops – Did you know that Dallas is home to the largest urban hardwood forest in America—the Great Trinity River Forest – and it’s less than 20 minutes from downtown? Change your perspective on the big city of Dallas with a zip-lining adventure through the trees for an all-natural experience.
Dallas Sports Tour – There’s so much to cheer about when it comes to sports in Dallas! Whether your group attends a major league game or takes the ball into their own hands with a private punt, pass and kick competition, Ultimate Ventures helps you get your game on. How about taking a behind the scenes VIP Tour of the Dallas Cowboys Headquarters at The Star in Frisco? Guests connect with the Cowboys in a personal way by experiencing where the Dallas Cowboys train and work 355 days of the year.
Presidential Tour – The city of Dallas is home to two unique museums that pay tribute to two legendary presidents. The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealy Plaza honors John F. Kennedy with an interactive exhibit that examines his life, death, and legacy. The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum on the scenic SMU campus features exhibits such as a 9/11 memorial sculpture, a full-sized oval office replica, a Texas Rose Garden, and the thought-provoking Decision Point Theater.
Photo Scavenger Hunt – There are a number of districts in Dallas, such as Deep Ellum or the Dallas Arts District, that are ideal scavenger hunt locations because of their cool/fun factor. Or, would you rather experience a completely different side of our destination? Then head west and explore the best of Cowtown (i.e. Fort Worth that is!) A scavenger hunt in the legendary Stockyards National Historic District is a fabulous way to take in the sights and learn about this popular attraction. As an added bonus, your team has the chance to experience the famous Fort Worth Cattle Herd which takes place twice a day on Exchange Avenue, in the heart of the Stockyards.
Paddle boarding & Kayaking on Grapevine Lake – Recharge with an afternoon full of activities at lovely Lake Grapevine. Guests can test their skills at paddle boarding or kick back in a kayak and explore a corner of this roughly 8,000-acre lake. Bring a towel, a swimsuit and your balance!
To learn more about these plus other team building activities and group activities in Dallas, Fort Worth and everywhere in between, give us a call. We would love to create exceptional experiences and special memories for your guests!
