“Howdy, Y’all!” It’s Dallas calling, so pack your bags, because we’ve put together a 24-hour mini site inspection of some of our favorite “don’t miss” spots in Big D.

Morning – Dallas is comprised of 15 eclectic districts each with a unique personality and story. Start your day in the State-Thomas District, where you will experience old-world charm in one of the oldest residential neighborhoods in Dallas. earth map In the mix of elegant Victorian homes and shotgun shanties restored to their early 20th century grandeur, sits the Crooked Tree Coffee House. Find a comfortable chair (there are lots), enjoy a small bite, and soak in the ambience of the eclectic neighborhood coffee shop.
Mid-Morning – Next, hop on over to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and get lost exploring this fascinating museum. Don’t miss the The Hoglund Foundation Theater, a National Geographic Experience or the dazzling Gems and Mineral Hall. The museum is a great place for groups to come for tour or special event, as you can explore together or make your way around the museum solo and meet up to chat about the exhibits you’ve experienced.
Noon – Head over to Klyde Warren Park to grab lunch at one of the many delectable Food Trucks lined along the street. After lunch, take a stroll around the 5.2 acre deck park above the highway and try your hand at a game of chess or ping pong with a worthy opponent. Did we mention the free Wi-Fi?!
Mid-Afternoon – Once the location of cotton gin factories, bomb factories and automobile plants, the Deep Ellum District has been restored into a vibrant and hip music scene comprised of arts and entertainment venues. Your next stop is the Taproom at the Deep Ellum Brewery, a favorite local haunt. Opening at 3PM, this is a prime spot to kick back on the patio with a group and enjoy some board games and yard games while taking in the local flavor.
Evening – Hungry yet? Catch a ride across the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge to Trinity Groves. Make sure you have your camera ready, the view is spectacular! With a variety of more than 10 unique restaurants from well-known chefs in Dallas to choose from, your hardest decision will be selecting just one!
Late night – After dinner, head back over the bridge to Wolfgang Puck’s award-winning restaurant, Five Sixty, for breathaking views of the city. The restaurant is aptly named because it’s 560 feet above the ground atop Reunion Tower. Watch in awe as the restaurant slowly revolves giving a complete 360 degree view of the city while you sip on a night cap. During the day, guests can visit the GeO Deck for an interactive view of the city or stop by the Cloud Nine Café for some casual food and drinks. Guests love visiting “the ball” and experiencing this iconic building in the Dallas skyline.
