Our Top 5 Favorite Places to Stay Warm This Winter
Brrr! It’s chilly out there, but that doesn’t mean the fun needs to end! We’ve put together a list of our favorite places in Dallas-Fort Worth to stay toasty and enjoy some warm Texas hospitality.
Spark!
Downtown Dallas
Why we love Spark: The atypical venue gives you the perfect environment to find your creative Spark! (pun intended). Spark features a visually stimulating, creative event and team-building space offering a change of pace from the ballroom. The venue boasts 11,000 square feet of imaginative space ideal for hosting a meeting, training, special event or team-building activity.Dallas Museum of Art
Downtown Dallas
Why we love the DMA: The DMA is the jewel of the world-class Arts District in downtown Dallas. It houses major works of Pre-Columbian, Old World, and modern art. Here, you can host an unforgettable evening at the DMA, where you can experience world-class cuisine and exceptional service. Plan your visit before February 25th so you don’t miss the exhibit, All the Eternal Love I Have for the Pumpkins (2016), a signature Infinity Mirror Room from the artist Yayoi Kusama. This installation is the first mirror pumpkin room created by Kusama since 1991, and the only Infinity Mirror Room of its kind in a North American collection.PinStack
Plano, Las Colinas, Allen
Why we love PinStack: The venue features non-stop entertainment and action that is sure to bring out the inner child in anyone! The 50,000 square foot venue features a full-service restaurant, 28 state-of-the-art bowling lanes, a two-level laser tag arena, a rock climbing wall, and a high-ropes course suspended 20 feet above 100 of the newest video games and simulator technology. PinStack’s VIP bowling lounge and private event spaces features private bowling lanes are the ideal location to host your next event. The Rustic
Uptown Dallas
Why we love The Rustic: It doesn’t get much better than the Rustic’s award-winning covered patio (with heaters) under the Texas sky. The patio, named Pat’s Backyard after the legendary country music singer, Pat Green, features a clear tent through the winter months to keep guests warm. Add in some fire pits, delicious Southern food, and dynamite drinks, and you’ve got yourself the perfect spot in a cozy and warm atmosphere. We suggest you enjoy a concert in Pat’s (covered) Backyard, cozy up at a booth inside with your group, or rent out the place for a private event.Whiskey Ranch at Firestone & Robertson Distillery
Fort Worth
Why we love Whiskey Ranch: The 114-acre Whiskey Wonderland is set on the grounds of the historic 18-hole golf course, Glen Garden Country Club. By most accounts, it’s the largest whiskey distillery west of the Mississippi. As guests peruse the grounds they’ll be amazed by the beautiful views overlooking downtown Fort Worth. The venue features a variety of locations to host a meeting or event. After taking a stroll through the Ranch, we suggest you grab a drink from the bar and tasting room, TX Tavern, and cozy up by the giant fireplace on the back porch overlooking the golf course and Benders Lake.Welcome Bryce Pitcher
Join us in welcoming Bryce Pitcher, Sales Coordinator, to the team! Bryce brings a passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to impress clients with innovative meeting and event solutions! With a passion for zany socks and his hometown Dallas, we are thrilled to have Bryce on our team.
Abstract Koi Pond Theme Nominated for a Gala!
UV is honored to have been nominated for the 2018 Gala Awards. Special Events Magazine’s ‘Gala Awards’ showcases the best of the best in the event planning world; from design and decor to logistics and technology.
Our team received a nomination in the category of Best Event Produced for a Corporation or Association (under $100,000) for the program, Simplicity Meets Style: An Abstract Koi Pond Awards Night. Held on June 8th at the ultra-chic W Hotel, it was plain to see that this was no ordinary awards program. Like a koi fish swimming gracefully through a pond, guests were drawn into a world of sparkling beauty. They set off in eagerness to explore the room’s signature décor, inviting seating, and to marvel at the otherworldly lighting design.
Special Events Magazine was flooded with 2018 Gala Awards entries from across the globe with companies vying to become nominees. Members of the Special Events Magazine Advisory Board review all entries, determine the nominees, and announce the winners. The winners will be announced at a gala celebration on February 1, 2018 at ‘The Special Event’ conference in New Orleans.
