Casee Safford – UV’s Top Young Event Pro to Watch in 2017
Long before each event or meeting is executed by the UV team, there’s a talented Program Manager who has meticulously planned and crafted each and every detail into a proposal. Oftentimes behind-the-scenes, we are delighted that one of our own has been brought into the national spotlight and acknowledged for her masterful creations and dedicated work, to not only our company, but the industry.Casee Safford, Creative Design Manager, was recently named to Special Event Magazine’s ‘25 Young Event Pros to Watch in 2017’ list. Casee combines her passion for art and love for the hospitality industry to enable her to cleverly create out-of-the-box ideas and transformative designs. She is continuously pushing the envelope with new and creative ideas that always impress her clients.

Destination Music – The Irving Music Factory
Irving is upping the ante for music lovers with a brand new development coming in September! The Irving Music Factory, adjacent to the innovative Irving Convention Center, is an all-in-one dining and entertainment destination featuring a wide variety of unique event options and locations for groups of all sizes.
At the heart of the Music Factory lies The Pavilion, a Live Nation concert venue that can transform into three configurations: an intimate indoor theatre seating 2,500; an indoor upscale arena seating 4,000; and a boutique open-air pavilion seating 8,000. In addition to the more than 100 annual events managed by Live Nation, the flexible venue is available for receptions, banquets and concerts for groups from 120 to 8,000. The Pavilion opens Labor Day Weekend with a lineup of already sold out shows.
In addition to The Pavilion, the entertainment center boasts multiple outdoor plazas, 25 restaurant and entertainment outlets, and a seven-screen Alamo Drafthouse movie theatre. Each venue features custom designed interiors and spacious outdoor patios. Many of the venues offer private rooms with A/V equipment and live music throughout the week. The entire entertainment center will have a grand opening planned for December with various openings staggered throughout the fall.
The location of the 250,000-square-foot entertainment center could not be any hotter. The complex is adjacent to the Irving Convention Center and just a short drive from both Dallas and Fort Worth. In addition to nearby hotels like the Four Seasons Hotel Dallas and the Omni Mandalay, a 350-room Westin hotel will open next to the development by early 2019. This new hot spot for dining and entertainment is going to be a MUST-DO for your next North Texas meeting or event.
A Tail-Wagging Good Time
What do you get when you combine a networking happy hour with one of North Texas’ most beloved animal rescue groups? Why, a Yappy Hour, of course!
One of our favorite events this spring was a unique twist on the Happy Hour which included a philanthropy component. After a long day of meetings, guests were thrilled to walk out onto the patio to grab a drink and have a playdate with some loveable pups. These adorable pooches mixed it up and provided the perfect conversation starter for guests to bond.
Ultimate Ventures arranged for rescue dogs from Operation Kindness, the original and largest no-kill animal care and adoption center in North Texas, to be the main attraction at this event. Known as the place “Where Happiness Begins”, in their 41 years of business Operation Kindness has saved nearly 90,000 cats and dogs. In addition to receiving loveable cuddles the rescue dogs so desire, the organization walked away with donations from the company and guests who felt moved by the cause.

The Return of the Interns
We recently welcomed not one, but TWO of our extraordinary interns back to the Ultimate Ventures team. We’re proud to introduce to you, Dylan Loftus and Allie Salgueiro Perkins.
Dylan Loftus rejoined our team in July as an Operations Manager. A graduate of Loyola University Chicago, Dylan returns to her hometown of Dallas after gaining valuable experience in producing meetings and events in the corporate and non-profit realms in Chicago. Her extreme attention to detail and desire to deliver superior results is a great asset to our clients.
Allie Salgueiro Perkins rejoined our team in June as a Program Manager. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from University of North Texas, Allie put her education and experience to use as an event coordinator where she was responsible for coordinating corporate events on behalf of a Marketing firm. Her keen eye for detail and design have already proven to be a superb addition to our creative team.
