As a co-founder of Ultimate Ventures, Val serves as vice president and heads up the company’s marketing department. With the volume of new offerings in the Dallas/Fort Worth area combined with the creativity the UV team, Val’s job has never been more exciting. Prior to focusing on marketing, Val’s innovative work in the special events world earned industry honors including numerous ISES Esprit, ADMEI Achievement Awards, and Texas Star Awards.
Under Val’s leadership, UV’s Every Month Matters philanthropic program has become ingrained in the corporate culture. Employee participation and commitment to these initiatives are among the reasons UV has been named one of the “Best Places to Work” by the Dallas Business Journal and a Business of the Year Finalist by the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce.
Val graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Marketing. During her junior year, she participated in Semester at Sea, a global study abroad program where she met her business partner, Laurie Sprouse. Val was among the charter group of industry professionals to earn her Destination Management Certified Professional (DMCP) designation and to receive Accredited Destination Management Companies (ADMC) status.
Val is happiest when travelling with her husband and daughter, practicing yoga, gardening, or exploring new North Texas restaurants and activities. Chocolate has also been known to make her smile!
